Our choice
"When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required".
~ Luke 12:48
We've become experts in complaining. When we see something we don't like, we complain. Often times our rants are not even aimed to the right audience, yet, we seem to want everyone to know how uncomfortable we feel, or how annoyed or offended we are.
It gets even worse when we lean toward the easiest route. After all, why go through the drama of stirring up arguments when we could just ignore the issue?
Don't we love doing that?
We are living in a very advanced era, with no precedents regarding the endless possibilities before our eyes every day.
Also, like never before, we ignore.
We ignore our neighbors, our families, our co-workers, global conflicts, political, religious, human rights or environmental issues, right here in our own backyard or around the world...
We ignore them. We walk right past them, shake our heads in disapproval and move on.
Because it's easier that way. Much easier.
This "Oh well" attitude that we've adopted sickens me and burdens my heart.
Especially lately, I've been reflecting on this rising generation. Not only mine, but the one that's coming after me. Those who we saw being born and are now on the verge of becoming teenagers, those who are now learning their first words...
Who's going to set an example for them in the middle of a chaotic society? Even if we all agree that this world is getting worse by the day, we don't seem to have the courage to stand up, or bend down and intercede, and guide those who need it.
Neither schools, nor churches nor the media have the responsibility of shaping the present or future generations.
You do.
I do.
Whether we actually do it or not it's our choice.

So among others things, I decided to finally create a place to write and share what God places in my heart.
This is it.
Be welcomed!

Amen!
